Ray Anderson – Associate Advisory Board

Ray founded American Business Concepts in 1993 and has been involved in organizational and personal development since 1982. Initially, Ray’s firm provided training as part of Employment Training Panel Grants to Manufacturing firms. A complete customer list appears at the bottom. Ray has enabled his clients to get more than $2,000,000 in ETP funding to retrain nearly 3000 employees. His focus is on manufacturing and he has developed ETP contracts in aerospace, electronics, plastics, paint, window, construction, foundry and health care industries.

In 1999, ABC began integrating the principles and perspective of the Malcolm Baldrige into American Business Concepts. As the company evolved, the focus on staff and organizational development expanded to include cost reduction, process improvement, IT integration and revenue enhancement. He is the originator of the “Grey Collar” workforce concept. Simply, it means involving blue collar workers in what was formerly white collar thinking and responsibilities. Using this concept, Ray and his staff has been able to dramatically reduce client cost by getting frontline workers actively involved in business decisions and profit.
