IMAFA

The International Medical Association for Advancement

The International Medical Association for Advancement (IMAFA) is an international association for medical and health research. IMAFA shall become a separate independent operating company under the Uniworld umbrella, which shall provide ongoing direction and needed support.

Purpose:

IMAFA is an international non-profit organization that will join together the efforts of many nations, and their medical and science professionals, for the financial and intellectual enhancement of medical science and health related industries around the globe. It does so by sharing ideas, information, and breakthroughs among all nations so that the world can benefit from better preventative and curative medical treatment.

Medical and scientific preparation for the unknown in a world of continuing new medical safety challenges will be a goal of the participants of IMAFA. As medical professionals from around the world make breakthroughs, sharing and trading these discoveries among nations will serve to significantly benefit all peoples of the world.

The Financial Advantage:

IMAFA at ITEC will be structured with a view toward becoming the leading international organization of its kind. It will incorporate a support structure which can be utilized by many other non-profit associations; thus saving other participating associations millions of dollars in expenditures through the sharing of facilities, equipment, and information.

This cooperation will allow member organizations to better utilize their contributions and grants by allocating more of their dollars toward their intended purpose and less toward infrastructure and duplication of research efforts.

How will this be accomplished?

IMAFA will have the research facility at ITEC designed, built and equipped with complete diversity in mind. Although IMAFA will have its own research focused projects, IMAFA believes the facility, equipment, labs, data compilation and administrative support can all be used jointly among specialized research associations such as: cancer, cardio vascular, neurological, muscular, disease, and others.

This cooperation will in turn allow for a sharing of the financial burden. By such associations working together, jointly utilizing facilities and equipment, IMAFA can spread the costs accordingly and reduce the waste of funds from duplication of research efforts, thus making research more cost effective for all.

In addition to IMAFA having availability to business and personal contributions for its financial funding needs, it will also be in a position to receive important international funds, grants, contributions and U.S. federal funds. Initially, IMAFA may be able to generate major corporate contributions from large companies desiring to qualify for tax credits on such contributions.

This association will be funded by major sponsorships and will maintain an ongoing revenue stream through the sale of memberships and services. Furthermore, ongoing research grants, technology breakthroughs, and patents should enable IMAFA to generate additional revenues allowing for growth and the ability to self-fund future projects.

What will this research facility consist of?

IMAFA will be located at Uniworld’s ITEC complex in Las Vegas, Nevada in a global destination environment conducive to attracting medical professionals from around the globe. As ITEC grows and creates sister locations around the world, IMAFA will grow concurrently.

A typical IMAFA facility might include:

  • Laboratories, an estimated 400,000 sq. ft.
  • Organic gardening and testing facility, an estimated 200,000 sq. ft.
  • Technology, research, data gathering, administrative support, an estimated 100,000 sq. ft.
  • Conference and education facilities, an estimated 50,000 sq. ft.
  • A data library
  • Two full service surgical rooms for particular specialized procedures
  • One full service Internet surgical facility
  • A 50-bed hospital facility for specialized care

Comprehensive clinical testing will be outsourced to qualified medical professionals, members, associate members, sponsors and institutions around the globe. Additionally, this will become a supporting facility to other non-profit medical associations.

With this prestigious facility hosting world experts as they advance medical robotics, IMAFA will become the Internet surgical center of the future, enabling surgeons to assist in, or even actually perform unique surgical procedures via the Internet to any hospital in the world with assistance from professional staffing within those institutions.

Global Access to Emergency Health Care Need:

IMAFA utilizing the ITEC Foreign Trade Zone, and other affiliated Foreign Trade Zones, will enhance its ability to trade technology, medical supplies, medicines, health supplements and more internationally. By this technology trade, IMAFA can create an additional source of revenue, thus continually enhancing its operational strength.

Types of Involvement:

  • Supporting Sponsor: A supporting sponsor provides working capital on an annual basis for the association, and in turn will receive advertising in IMAFA and ITEC publications. Also available will be advertising and membership notices produced and/or distributed by the association.

  • Sustaining Sponsor: A sustaining sponsor makes a long-term (minimum 5-year) commitment to the association, or is a supporting sponsor who has renewed membership for three (3) consecutive years. Sustaining sponsors are additionally entitled to preferred participation in conventions, monthly seminars, and other networking events provided through the association.

  • Co-Sponsor: Sponsors who purchase advertising at one or more events, publications, conventions, or seminars.

  • Memberships and Associate Memberships: Primarily for interested doctors, nurses and other health professionals to join and receive access to publications, networking, education, schooling, seminars and ongoing updates of medical breakthroughs. Additionally, members will have primary access to that which emanates from IMAFA. Finally, there may be opportunities to provide clinical testing to IMAFA from their existing practice.

IMAFA Step By Step

Although this association has extremely aggressive goals, its objectives are achievable if incorporated into a step-by-step business plan. Controllable growth of an association is a must for long-term success. Understanding the business side of such an aggressive project, the Board of Directors of Uniworld will be very selective in the process of appointing Board Members to IMAFA, as well as the administrators, employees, service providers, and suppliers of the organization.

Step-by-Step Development

To determine where to start, an analysis was performed to determine the key foundation that would lead to ultimate success, be the least expensive to start up, yet still provide the necessary benefit, revenue source and unique conceptual base to attract contributors, product or service users, and members that will be needed for growth.

Initially we considered the long-term intent of this association, which is to become an international master association that can facilitate both the utilization and effectiveness of medical research, as well as the trade of information and technology amongst governments, their medical associations, medical professionals, pharmaceutical companies and other health, fitness and related organizations.

Through proven methods, technologies and medical discovery, IMAFA will be able to facilitate communication, educate practitioners about new treatment, enhance diagnostic process, and preventative care. This process will create a safer, healthier environment by utilizing research resources to promote the effective use of the information gathered.

Uniworld has therefore set forth its step-by-step development process for IMAFA:

Phase I

1.      Development and construction of IMAFA administrative offices on the ITEC Campus.

  • Installation of complete data system equipment with the latest in technology and software to enable data sorting, and conversion into an effective information system.

  • Recruit, hire and train individuals to the specific goals of IMAFA (experience in similar positions)
    • Chief Administrator
    • Administrative staff required
    • Promotional sales staff

  • Gathering of data from existing laboratories, research centers and medical associations, and using that resource to build a comprehensive data center.

  • Aggressive global campaign to obtain sponsors, co-sponsors, members, and associate members.

2.      Implement a centralized information system for medical research.

  • The objective is to more effectively and efficiently utilize research dollars. Many global associations work diligently to obtain grants and contributions and many organizations utilize their own funds. Research is extremely expensive, yet it is necessary to develop the new technology to protect human health and welfare. It will lead to improved disease control, and even cures, thus enhancing life with preventative medicine, improved health care and new breakthroughs. Note: Genetic research and study is in its infancy, but early feedback indicates tremendous potential, not only for treatment but for possibly preventative cures.

  • This data system will reduce cost and enhance research by becoming a master data depository for all medical and health related research projects, associations, organizations, and companies globally.

  • Many researchers duplicate research, even though findings have already been documented, wasting precious research funds. Additionally, many research projects are focused toward a sole purpose, such as a form of cancer, even though the information gathered may lead to a cure in a totally different area, such as a treatment for AIDS. Where researchers are focused on a single goal and the results may not be immediately shared with other researchers, then the results may go unnoticed.

  • With the latest in computer technology, information gathered can be sorted, and more effectively used. Researchers can access data base information to view studies and results already experienced, thus preventing duplication of efforts and saving research dollars. Tests in process can be verified as new in approach, or can be simplified by accessing the results of previous studies, simply re-confirming results.

  • Having such a system in place and operating will allow IMAFA to become the master information center and global association for the health care and medical industry.

  • The IMAFA data system will set the pace for medical education, and IMAFA will provide specialized training as a benefit for its members.

  • IMAFA will be located within ITEC, providing immediate access to foreign trade and government offices. The location will provide immediate access to copyright, trademark and patent professionals to ensure the protection and integrity to those entitled to such for medical breakthroughs and findings

Phase II

It is not the intent of IMAFA to become competitive with other associations, research facilities, or companies that perform research, but rather to become a support facility for those organizations. Yet the forecast for Phase II includes the building of a complete research facility to include laboratories, an organic greenhouse, a 40 bed care facility and two surgery rooms for specialized patient care purposes.

The research facilities will provide the latest in technology-based equipment, along with a facility designed to allow for multiple uses of the venue and equipment (examples: cancer research, heart and lung research, AIDS research, and other designated disciplines). This operating plan allows various researchers concurrent use of the facility and equipment, reducing overall costs and extending the impact of research dollars.

IMAFA will facilitate its own research projects, primarily focusing on areas where research is unique such as the treatment for masses in a WMD attack or a similar type of accident, and research for preventative treatment such as ways to strengthen the human body resistance to infectious disease.

IMAFA will strive for enhancements in information, development of new and better technologies, and data systems. IMAFA will become the world’s leading research association for the health, pharmaceutical and medical industries.

Comments:

IMAFA will direct most of its clinical testing to professionals around the globe, preferably to its members and sponsors and will monitor the results. A 40-bed hospital facility and surgery center will be utilized for the most extreme, rare and sensitive studies. The surgical center is visualized as being a facilitator of Internet robotics surgery whereby teams of specialists can remotely perform surgery and assist in surgery from nearly anywhere in the world.

With emerging technologies and robotic systems, it is feasible that over the next 20 years IMAFA will attract the world’s leading surgeons to work together from this master facility in teams performing surgery and assisting in surgeries remotely to almost every health care center around the globe, thus providing the highest quality service to the public with controllable costs.
